The Big Picture tour: the graffiti van, Mexico, and songs on the road
After releasing his first album Big Picture in 2016, Noah Grove bought a graffiti-covered van and drove around the country for three months and into Mexico on a tour he called the Big Picture tour.

A self-made road tour
In late 2016, after releasing Big Picture, Noah bought a van covered in graffiti and drove around the United States for three months and into Mexico. The tour was a real-life extension of the album: a search for music, movement, stories, places, and possibility.
The Federales story
In Baja California, in the middle of nowhere, Noah was pulled over by the Federales. Rather than turning into a disaster, the moment became part of the mythology of the tour: they had him play them some songs.

A pre-Charleston glimpse
During that same era, Noah took a photograph of a Charleston marsh in 2016, long before he and his wife moved to Charleston in 2018. In retrospect, that image now feels like a marker pointing toward the next chapter.
